Wimbledon 2011 Day 4- preview

Day four at the championships we saw excitement , thrill , anger, fun all sort of mixed reaction. we even saw greatest upsets (as far as second round is concerned). some greatest players being on the verge of losing , gaining confidence and coming back strongly to win , and of course top players such as roger federer and novak djokovic winning with an ease.

***************************************************
WOMEN

american top seeded serena williams had a scare , as she was made to work hard to win and was again stretched to three sets. i guess williams sister will be facing a tough time here at the championships as in almost every match they are being stretched to 3 sets .
well in the end serena williams won def. simona halep 3-6 6-2 6-1

next up was french open champion 2010 francesca schiavone who def. barbora strycova 7-5 6-3
and faced no problem in going through to the third rd.

now next was the currently crowned french open champ. na li up against sabina lisicki . na li was in good form with proper forehand and cross court returns throught the game but somewhere somehow someone else emerged better than her in the end during the third set . that is sabina
she was trailing 5-3 but came back and won the final set 8-6 and made a remarkable victory and her career best victory beating 4th seeded na li. sabina won 3-6 6-4 8-6.

MENS

let us talk about robin soderling who was up against australian hewitt. soderling lost the first two sets 6-7 3-6 and hewitt was very much confident of winning. but soderling held on his nerves came back in the third set with a very much positive approach and won the match 6-7 3-6 7-5 6-4 6-4 and proved himself .
roger federer was also seen in action yesterday where he had a very easy win 6-2 6-3 6-2 over A. mannarino in just 88 minutes.
serbian novak djokovic second seeded here also escaped easily beating south african k. anderson 6-3 6-4 6-2 in straight sets.
