st match at the center court was Venus williams facing kimiko date krumm it was venus's most toughest match of the season as was stretched to 3 sets and won 6-7 6-3 8-6.
nd up was the spaniard and the defending champion Rafael Nadal against american Ryan sweeting. i was shocked to see such devastating forehand and vicious two handed backhanded return from rafael nadal it was simply outstanding he was unbeatable ryan had to stretch and word even harder than his first round five settter to compete here for only one such game! it was an outstanding play by rafael nadal the forehand , top spin serving and volley was much better than ever i had seen hoping he would continue the same and wont let us down !
he won 6-3 6-2 6-4.
rd match at center court was Andy Murray who also beat compatriot Tobais kamke 6-3 6-3 7-5 in straight sets. he was also in brilliant form with good forehand return and less UF errors.
th big match was of Vera Zvonareva second seeded against the double finalist of french open Elena Vesnina it was a very tough match but vera won defeating elena 6-1 7-5.
