wednesday morning the mens quarterfinals took place featuring these matches of the first four top seeded players :
roger federer (4) vs jo-wilfred tsonga
andy murray (4) vs feliciano lopez
novak djokovic (2) vs b. tomic
rafael nadal (1)vs mardy fish

roger federer six time champion was the first on center court against the french men Tsonga.
Federer with his extraordinary serve and single handed strong backhand plus his good base line gameplay was playing well indeed won the first set 6-3 . in the second set there wasn't any break from any of the players and the match went to tie break where federer won 7-3.
But early in the third set tsonga broke the federe serve and that single break gave him victory in the third fourth and fifthe set only one break by tsonga and that too the first game of 4th and fifth set . if federer wouldn't have had a break of his serve se could hav beaten tsonga in the fabulous five setter on center court.
rafael nadal vs mardy fish
Rafael nadal said he was perfectly fit for the quarters and the MRI scan did not show any sort of injury. well he was there on court against mardy fish . rafa leaded 5-0 against fish on head to head record.
in the very first game of fish rafa got a break. 2-0 leading. and he just focused on holding his serve and playing his best tennis. the double handed back hand return was still that powerful as ever and some unbelievable shots . we gotta chance to see some exciting point at the court both players were playing good. later rafa was 2-0 two sets to luv. in the third set no break was don till 5-5 then fish served and it was 6-5 .
suddenly we saw fish comming up on rafa serve and won the set 7-5 . shocking! then early in the fourth set nadal held on his nerves to get a break of fish leading 3-1 and serving for the fourth game and back to back he won the match in four sets. a tough one but not as it was against del potro!
rafa to face the britain fav andy murray next at the semis! rafa has a head to head record 11-4 against murray!
novak djokovic vs b.tomic
novak had an easy win but in four sets against the unseeded opponent b.tomic at the quarters of the championships he did not faced much problem in beating his compatriot he is to face tsonga next at the semis on friday!
andy murray vs feliciano lopez
andy murray had the most easiest match at the quarters where he won in straight sets to def spainiard feliciano lopez . murray again goes to the semis of wimbledon where last year he lost to rafa nadal and this time also he faces world no.1!!!
